Anees Naim
Anees is an English qualified solicitor (qualified in March 2014) and has degrees in English and Lebanese law. He practiced for several years as an international arbitration and disputes lawyer with the international law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills, in London and Dubai. In September 2017, Anees left private practice to set up Bablex.
Anees has particular experience and knowledge in the areas of cross-border litigation and international arbitration. In addition to his common law qualifications and experience, he has extensive knowledge and experience of civil law cases.
He has more than 10 years’ experience in drafting and translating complex legal documents from Arabic into English and English into Arabic (such as bilateral investment treaties, legal submissions, witness statements, legislation and legal advice).
